Gallery Talk, A Fresh Look at Yale's European Art Collection

Camillo Rusconi, Crucified Christ

Paola D’Agostino, the Nina and Lee Griggs Assistant Curator of European Art, addresses questions of style, technique, and the original function of European works of art from the 15th to the 18th century. She discusses works with which visitors may be familiar, such as Gentile da Fabriano’s Virgin and Child (ca. 1420–24), as well as works only recently displayed, such as Titian’s Portrait of Guidobaldo II della Rovere, Duke of Urbino (1545) and Camillo Rusconi’s Crucified Christ (ca. 1690–1700).
