Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 12:30 pm

Join John Stuart Gordon, Benjamin Attmore Hewitt Associate Curator of American Decorative Arts, for a visit to the Furniture Study.

During the Colonial Revival era (1876–1920), a collecting craze swept America and inspired some unscrupulous dealers to sell newly made “antiques.” Using objects in the collection that were made either as reproductions or outright fakes this talk will introduce some of the key personalities and explore the cultural attitudes of the period.
